Folk Art Platters, May 24th
Folk Art Platters, May 24th
Saturday, May 24th | 10:30am–12:30pm
Lately, I’ve been deeply inspired by the beauty of quilts and other early American folk art. They’re inspiring not only in the craftsmanship of the materials but also the storytelling embedded in their designs—and I can’t wait to share that inspiration with you!
In this hands-on workshop, we’ll explore the magic of radial symmetry and learn how to design and paint our own folk art–inspired patterns. Using a pre-thrown 10” stoneware platter as your canvas, you’ll experiment with glaze techniques to bring your design to life—layering color, pattern, and personal meaning into a one-of-a-kind piece.
No prior experience is necessary—just bring your curiosity and a love for pattern and play.
Please allow up to two weeks for firing. You’ll receive an email as soon as your finished platter is ready for pick-up.
